Design Notes

NifL is involved in nitrogen fixation in Azobacter vinelandii. Note that NifL has a PstI site in it. The Leucine Landing Pad vector has Ampicillin and Chloramphenicol resistance. Refer to Michigan's wiki for the procedure for putting subcloned elements on the chromosome using the landing pad.

BBa_K138000 was created by the Michigan Team for iGEM 2008. NifL was a PCR product from pIM18. We received pIM18 form Dr. Ray Dixon, of the John Innes' Center in the United Kingdom
